In News
We've been talking about where we'd like the Network to go and grow over the next year and how our members can get even more out of their time spent with us. These announcements always sound ominous but don't worry, we're developing something very big and hopefully much more rewarding for those who have stuck with us, including the following changes...
Memberships - If you're already a member then don't worry, you're not going anywhere (unless you want to)! - From now on, if your company is working with us, you'll be granted a membership to the Construction Network included within your CITB funding where applicable. - If you'd like to bring a member in who isn't working with us, you'll act as their sponsor (think along the lines of a golf club).
Events After much feedback regarding events held so far in South and West Yorkshire, we're revamping how we do things. - Instead of regular, open meetings with a varying turnout, we'll be hosting much more exclusive events on a less regular basis. - New speakers will focus on a wider range of subjects relevant to managers and suppliers. We're talking MPs discussing the effects of political decisions on your business (*cough *cough, Brexit), large-scale suppliers and organisations and many more subjects that will affect your business. Let's broaden our horizons! - Tickets will be on a limited, first-come, first-served basis. There will be an additional cost to attend these events and members will receive a reduced price on these. Guest and non-member tickets will be priced a little higher. This is all TBC so keep an eye out for more info in the near future.
The Website - The only big thing changing in regards to the website is the Sign Up option. If you want to sign up, you'll have to get in touch with us and apply for membership. This way we bring in members who can only add to the fantastic community we've built so far. - Members will still gain access to exclusive offers in our Suppliers section with new offers added regularly. - The forums will become the main place to chat with fellow members when away from meetings. We're working on creating some engaging topics to encourage community discourse.
That's all can share with you at the moment but stay tuned. Hopefully you're as excited as we are in transforming the Construction Network into a more focused, driven and exclusive community!
Jamie.
